Le Gîte Bricou - Les Rocailles, Bergerac
Gite Le Bricou is a charming and typical French gîte which is completely independent from the main house and benefits from its own private terrace and barbecue. Shared Pool. Sleeps 4/5

There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The twin bedroom is en suite with shower room, wash basin and w.c. and has it's own door to the exterior. The double bedroom has the use of a second shower room with wash basin, w.c. and a washing machine. It is possible to accommodate a fifth person on a folding bed settee in the living area.

The living area has built in dining seating and table easily accommodating five people, there is a 'coin cuisine' kitchen corner with a gas/electric hob (3 gas rings and 1 electric), a mini electric oven/grill, sink, a dishwasher, fridge freezer, fitted cupboards and coffee machine. There is small television (French channels) and the sofa bed. The gîte is central heated. Outside is a private terrace with table and chairs for 5 and a barbecue. There is a swimming pool 12 x 6m (shared with the other guests) a pool house and sun terrace, extensive grounds, private parking and gardens.

THE LOCATION

Situated a short drive from the medieval town of Bergerac on the River Dordogne approached by a long private drive Les Rocailles is just outside the village of Campsegret with three restaurants and baker and not too far from the village of Lembras on the way to Bergerac which has a small supermarket, baker and restaurant.

Bergerac offers restaurants to suite all tastes and budgets, with delightful pavement cafes, shops, museums and historic buildings, it's narrow streets and tiny squares, fountains and hidden corners await to be discovered. From the old port take a boat trip on a traditional flat bottomed Gabare or take the little road train for a guided tour of the town.

Follow the 'Route des Vins' which will take you south out of Bergerac across the river to the Chateau Monbazillac.From here you can visit and sample the famous white desert wine and look back over the valley to Bergerac.
