Terri & Roy are proud to offer a warm welcome to their beautiful home dating from 1503, set in the heart of the evocative medieval Town of Sarlat, in the Dordogne and Perigord region of France.

Literally in the heart of the town's historic centre, La Lanterne could not be better situated for you to discover and enjoy the wonders and delights of Sarlat. Weave your way through the cobbled streets and alleyways of this beautiful and mesmeric medieval town, made even more intriguing by night when the town takes on a special ambiance as the old fashioned gas lamps cast their warm glow over the honeyed stone of the historic buildings.

After a busy day's sightseeing, you can enjoy a drink in the cool of the courtyard before strolling down to sample the culinary regional delights of the numerous restaurants. You may wish to sit a while in one of the lively pavement cafe's or bars watching the world pass by. In July and August you can while away many an hour being entertained by a whole host of street entertainers and performers during the towns two months of Festival. Market days every Wednesday and Saturday bring the town to life with an amazing profusion of vendors and colourful stalls.

Please note that our home is non smoking throughout. We regret that we are unable to accept dogs. We do however have our own small dog who lives with us in our own apartment so he has no access to the guests rooms.

We understand that for travellers looking for an extended stay in the region, Bed & Breakfast may not satisfy all the needs of the independent traveller. With this in mind we have sourced local French owners who provide high standard, self-catering apartments in the heart of Sarlat. To meet the needs of all our prospective guests we have a small portfolio of four lovely apartments in the Medieval town centre, that are close by so we will not only handle the booking on your behalf but will also be on hand during your stay should you need any advice, help or information.

We are therefore pleased to be able to offer you a choice of four individual apartments sleeping either 2 or 4 guests. We would be pleased to forward further details on request.
