18th Century detached stone house, with oak beams, 200 metres from the Dordogne river bank, second to last house in a charming little village near Lalinde. Ideal as a base from which to explore this fabulous region. Sleeps 2/4.

ACCOMMODATION :
This open-plan house is a converted wine store, cut into the limestone hillside.
There's a large fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, washing machine, dining table, breakfast bar, all utensils and crockery. The lounge has CD stereo, DVD and LCD TV, a collection of books and games, and a double sofa bed.
The mezzanine double bedroom boasts a king-size bed with all linen and Egyptian cotton towels provided.
The newly upgraded bathroom also contains iron, ironing board and hairdryer.
Our secluded, patio style garden has a large BBQ and gives great views over the hills and countryside opposite the house.
Welcome arrival essentials provided, tea, coffee and yes, wine!

LOCATION :
Badefols-sur-Dordogne is on the banks of the river. The village has a bakery, public tennis court, bars and restaurant within 5 minutes walk from the house.
It is 5km from Lalinde the closest town, which holds a vibrant market every Thursday and has a host of banks, local shops, supermarkets and other amenities.

TRAVEL TO THE AREA :

Only 20km from Bergerac airport (that's 25mins by car) with numerous car hire firms located at the airport. Ryanair and Flybe run cheap flights to Bergerac.
There are also several alternative ferry routes e.g. Portsmouth- St Malo, Newhaven-Dieppe, check them all for the best prices!
